Conservatives vs. Liberals Beliefs

Liberals- believe in government action to achieve equal opportunity and equality for all it is the duty of the government to alleviate social ills and to protect civil liberties and individuals and human rights.
Conservative- Believe in person responsibilities limited government free markets individual liberty traditional American values and strong national defense.

The way I look at is that the Liberals government should be guarantee that no one is in need and the Conservatives is the government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals.
After learning about Liberals and conservatives in class I’m more on the Liberals side after hearing about the abortion thing that was going on. It’s not like women have the intention on killing a baby it’s just we should have the right to decide weather or not we want to keep the baby. Everybody can’t afford to take care of a baby especially by themselves. In other words women should have the rights to say what they want to do with their body  not some man who can careless about you or your baby.

Man who Killied Florida Teen Over Loud Music Alters his Story to Stand your Ground

On Friday November23,2012 in Florida a man named David Dunn claimed he felt threatened by teenagers playing loud music and instead of leaving the situation he pulled out a gun and fired eight or nine times into an SUV killing an “unarmed African American Teenager”. The man is expected to mount a “stand your grounds” defense
The shooting had happened at a gas station in Florida where Michael David Dunn stopped to get some wine for his girlfriend. Dunn parked next to an SUV with 4-teens inside and complained about their music that elicited a verbal response from the teenagers Dunn pulled out his gun and fired eight or nine shots into the vehicle killing 17 year old Jordan Davis and then fled the scene. Witnesses to the shooting took down his license plate number witched helped police find duns house where he was then arrested.I really didn’t know what to say after I heard about this incident now all I can think about is that everything I do could be a threat to a certain race.

Black Women set on fire by KKK

Twenty year old Sharmeka Moffit was reportedly set on fire by men who were in all white hoodies as she walked through the park.

Moffit was walking in Civitan park in Winnsboro, LA when she was allegedly attack by three men who were wearing “white hoodies” while authorities have resisted calling the incident a “hate crime” they say the Moffits car was spray painted with racial slurs which were not specified at press.

This incident didn’t make the news and I wish it did because I feel that people have forgotten that racist things are still going on. People feel that since we aren’t being called “Nigger” or “boy” that everything is all normal and everybody loves each other. That fact that people don’t know about this incident and it happened not too long ago really upsets me. I feel that the police really dont care what happened thats why the story didnt make the news.

American Violet The movie

This is based on the true story of a racist raid In rural Texas during the 2000 presidential election. Powerful district attorney ( Calvin Beckett) launches a series of wide ranging of some 30 adult African Americans in a small community that includes the Arlington springs housing projects one of its residents is a waitress Dee Roberts a divorced mother of four who is falsely arrested as a drug dealer. Pressured to confess Roberts refuses and becomes a fighter for truth and justice with the help of ACLU attorney David Cohen and former local narcotics officer Sam Conroy. Becketts popular raid is blatantly racist and the people he has arrested have been accused on the basis of uncorroborated accusations by a single police informat who is himself facing drug charges. In the end justice was served Dee Roberts won the case but beckett still remaind in office. After seeing this movie it really showed me that people really abuse their authority of power and the fact that after Becktt did all of this he stills remand in office.

Sarafina and her and her friends/classmates are rebels. whn riots break out, the police shoot, and students are murdered. in retaliation, the students locate a blacl police man whom they burn to daeth. Later, students are imprisoned. In prison, sarafina realizes that madella cannot hear her. upon release, Sarafina visits her mother, confessing the murder. she now considers her mother a hero for working and accepting her responsibilities.
